Beginning the Software

Data Doctor’s Windows recovery Software can be started in the following steps:

In Windows, Click the Start button
Click on Programs
Scroll to Data Doctor Recovery-FAT–NTFS & click it
Windows data recovery Software screen appears as follows

After installing the Software desktop shortcut icon is created from where too Windows data recovery software can be launched.

Searching criteria

There are two ways of searching (scanning) the software. One is standard mode and second is advanced mode.

1. Standard search

This searching criteria is used in case of files folders deletion or data loss due to any virus infection or deleted, missing partition

2. Advanced search

This option is used to recover data from formatted partition drive or any other data recovery which is not possible on standard search.

Formatted partition

You have to select the logical partition (generally FAT or NTFS file system) by clicking on search more partition button to recover all the partition.

For example : If you have formatted the drive from FAT to NTFS file system and data was originally stored in FAT partition then recovery take place by selecting the FAT partition drive not the NTFS partition drive. Similarly, If you have formatted the drive from NTFS to FAT file system and data was originally stored in NTFS partition then recovery take place by selecting the NTFS partition drive not the FAT partition drive.

Invalid Partition table

Make sure that no removable media should be present while booting.
